Republican RTM Majority Leader Reverses Course on State Office Run: Report

The candidate released a statement explaining why now is not the time to run for state office.

BRANFORD, CT — Representative Town Meeting Republican Majority Leader Ray Ingraham will not be running for the 102nd State House seat after all, reports Shore Publishing.

He had said he was running on March 31 but reversed course on Thursday.

In a statement, Ingraham said a series of events have led him to conclude now is not the right time to run for state office. In his statement, Ingraham said, layoffs have hit his company where he worked for 15 years and he's now "in a job hunt."
