BRANFORD, CT — A Ring camera helped officers identify a man who broke into unlocked cars early Tuesday morning on Windmill Hill Road, Branford police said.
At around 3:30 a.m., a resident called police to report a person breaking into cars in the area. Police said officers arrived within minutes and found the man, Kevin Kenmeugue, 23, of Stamford, walking on Meadow Circle Road. Officers looked at the resident's Ring camera footage, which they said "helped officers identify and confirm Kenmeugue’s involvement with the attempted theft."
Kenmeugue, who had a warrant out of Bridgeport, was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal trespass, criminal attempt to commit larceny and interfering with an officer.
