Sacred Heart Academy's Signature Fundraising Event Returns
The 'Patriotic Party with Pizzazz' and auction takes place on Saturday, April 9.

Experience The Spirit of America: A Patriotic Party with Pizzazz with hors d’oeuvres, buffet dining, open bar, and desserts at Sacred Heart Academy’s signature fundraising event – The 2016 Live and Silent Auction –on Saturday, April 9 beginning at 6:00 p.m. “This year’s Auction promises a fun-filled, wonderful, and exciting evening…a memorable event with a great theme, stunning staging, divine cuisine, and the opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind, must-have items. The Auction is our signature event and chairs Mike & Dana Ajello of North Haven and the

Eric Hummel of Hamden returns as auctioneer for the twelfth consecutive year. This year’s special guest is current parent and WTNH News 8 Medical Reporter Jocelyn Maminta of New Haven, as master of ceremonies. Jocelyn’s daughter is a member of the freshman class.
Michael & Dana Ajello of North Haven, are spearheading The Spirit of America, along with a committee comprised of more than 75 parents, alumnae, and friends of the Academy. This year’s Steering Committee includes: Gift Chairs Stephen & Jacqueline Fitzgerald of North Haven, 2015 Chairs Jeffrey & Frances Pellegrino Granquist ’80 of Wallingford, Krisanne Antonucci of North Haven, Maria Cammarota of Wallingford, Gilbert Earl of Hamden, Thomas Giglietti of Hamden, Maureen Hayes of Old Wethersfield, Catherine Lamont of Hamden, Scott & Christine Maturo of Hamden, Rob & Kristin McMahon of Fairfield, Margaret Palmieri of Northford, Lisa DeFrancesco Pyne ’88 of Wallingford, Karen Walsh Reidy ’74 of Northford, and Mary Lyons Samson ’81 of Branford.
Up for bid this year are exciting trips south and north, sports tickets and equipment, golf packages, catered dinners, fine jewelry, fine art, designer goods, electronics, and much, much more…something for everyone!
Adding to the festivities is the $10,000 All American Cash Raffle. The drawing will be held at 9:00 p.m. the night of the Auction and winner need not be present.
