Several Major Businesses In Branford Without Power
BREAKING: The storm is continuing to impact the area as power outages continue.

BRANFORD, CT – The busy Leetes Island area of Branford was without power as of 2 p.m. Monday afternoon, leave many businesses such as Stop & Shop and Dunkin’ Donuts and many others in the dark in the wake of Monday’s night powerful rain and windstorm.
Additionally, stop lights on the busy road leading to Interstate 95 north and southbound were also out, leaving drivers to fend for themselves to try and get on the highway to make their way toward New Haven or Old Saybrook.

Stop & Shop did have some generations set up so some shopping of non-perishable items could be done. But all the refrigeration aisles were shut down from service.
Confused shoppers, many of whom weren’t aware that the store was without power, either left the store or shopped smaller due to the power problems.
