Signs Of Spring: Daffodils, Daylight Savings And Leaf Pickup

Spring leaf collection will be every other week, the weeks of March 29, April 12, 26th, and May 10.

BRANFORD, CT — A rite of spring: leaf pickup.

From the town's recycling department, the always bright and cheerful Sharon Heslin, reminds folks that it's that time of year.

Spring leaf collection will be every other week, the weeks of March 29, April 12, 26th, and May 10. Please be sure to have your leaves out before midnight of your collection day. Leaves must be placed in brown paper leaf bags or loose in trash cans. Never place leaves in plastic bags. Leaves must be clean of all litter first, no rocks, soil or branches. Your leaves can always be brought to the compost site behind the Transfer Station at any time of the year, a Branford Residence sticker is required.
