Soundview Family YMCA Launches LIVESTRONG Program
The 12-week exercise program, set to begin in March, is tailored to support people affected by cancer.

BRANFORD, CT —The Soundview Family YMCA, a branch of the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA, is launching LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, a 12-week exercise program for cancer survivors. The program will be offered at no cost beginning March 2022 and is available to adults 18 years or older living with or beyond cancer treatment.
LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is an evidence-based program that helps cancer survivors reclaim their health and well-being following a cancer diagnosis.
“Every survivor deserves the opportunity to be a part of this transformational program,” said Colleen Villano, Director of Healthy Living. “The Soundview Family YMCA is here to ensure that those facing chronic illness have a community of care behind them.”
