State Senate Candidate Announces CT State Police Union Endorsement

Republican Paul Crisci said state police union president Todd Fedigan told him that he is one of the few candidates endorsed by the union.

BRANFORD, CT — Republican state Senate District 12 candidate Paul Crisci said he was endorsed by the Connecticut State Police Union.

According to a news release from Crisci, state police union president Todd Fedigan told the candidate that his is one of the few candidates endorsed by the union.

"This endorsement comes as a result of your support for the public safety and the issues our Union has faced in the past," Crisci quoted Fedigan as saying. "Your commitment to public safety and Trooper safety is truly appreciated by the entire Union membership.”

Crisci said he's "always been a huge supporter of police" adding he was "so proud" to get the backing of the police union.

"Then we saw the horrific tragedy in Bristol and our officers under direct fatal attack," he said. "Given the events of the past couple weeks, and watching the heartbreaking ceremonies for our fallen finest, I realize now more than ever that this endorsement is also a significant responsibility."

Crisci is the Republican-endorsed candidate for state Senate District 12, which covers parts of East Haven, Branford, North Branford, Guilford, Madison, Durham, Killingworth, and Middlefield.
