Tabor Church to Offer New Member Class for All Interested in Joining Tabor or Exploring Lutheran Tradition

Tabor Lutheran Church in Branford will offer New Member Classes again this spring. The first class will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Pastor Chad's house–about one mile from Tabor, at 49 Elizabeth St., on the corner of Elizabeth and Hotchkiss Grove Rd.

New Member Classes will meet four times to learn more about what Lutherans believe concerning God, Jesus, the Sacraments, how we read and view the Bible, the particular history of Tabor Lutheran Church, and much more. Regardless of whether one has been attending Tabor for a while or are new to following Christ among a Lutheran faith community, this course will be an opportunity to explore the Lutheran tradition and our understanding of the Christian faith. The classes are open to everyone who may be considering membership with Tabor–ALL are welcome!

New Members Sunday, a celebratory Sunday service where the Tabor congregation welcomes new members into the community, and where new members are officially received into membership, will be May 31, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Tabor sanctuary.
