Tabor Lutheran Church participates in 40 Days of Giving during Lent

Tabor Lutheran Church, Branford, CT participates in ELCA World Hunger's 40 Days of Giving during Lent

Branford, CT.  Tabor Lutheran Church is participating in ELCA World Hunger's 40 Days of Giving during Lent.  This campaign is an opportunity to help confront hunger and poverty. $9 out of every $10 given to ELCA World Hunger provides relief and development internationally and domestically.

Tabor is also supporting two local organizations during Lent.  The first project involves collecting back packs and duffle bags, filling them with toiletries and stuffed animals, for the Foster / Adopt Program for DSS Middletown.  These bags are given to foster children as a place to put their belongings when they move to different locations.  Many of these children are currently using garbage bags.

A second program is Feed Branford Kids which is connected with Branford Food Pantry,  Inc.  This program provides healthy snacks on weekends to families in Branford who need extra help.  These snacks are collected weekly and distributed on Fridays.
