BRANFORD, CT — The most expensive home for sale in Branford comes with its own island. Two of the town's five priciest listings on Zillow.com are private islands in the Thimble Islands, led by Rogers Island at nearly $30 million.

No. 1 on the list is Rogers Island, asking $29,995,000. The 7.65-acre island is a five-minute boat ride from a mainland property at 51 Flying Point Road, which comes with the sale and has its own dock and parking. The island's main house, built in 1902, has 8,378 square feet, 10 bedrooms, six full bathrooms and two half bathrooms, and a mahogany wraparound porch. There's also a four-bedroom guest house, an artist's studio and staff quarters. Granite paths wind past a heated pool with a pool house and bath house, a tennis court, a putting green designed by Jack Nicklaus, a koi pond, a greenhouse, a gazebo and two docks. It has been on Zillow for 171 days.

Just behind it is a waterfront "cottage" with 7,945 square feet at 84 Johnsons Point Road, listed at $7,400,000. The house dates to the 1910s and was expanded and fully renovated from 1987 to 1990, according to the listing. It sits on 1.27 acres in a private community with 300 feet of frontage on Long Island Sound and a wildlife estuary, and has six bedrooms and seven full bathrooms. The living room has 18-foot ceilings, and outside are a heated pool, two beaches and mooring rights. It has been on Zillow for 120 days.

The 1.1-acre island's 1912 house has 3,871 square feet, four bedrooms, three full bathrooms and one half bathroom, with balconies and terraces facing sunrises and sunsets over the Sound. A seasonal water taxi runs hourly in summer, and the listing suggests the property could also work as a vacation rental or wedding venue. It has been on Zillow for 201 days.

No. 4 is 21 Island View Ave. in Pine Orchard, a Cape Cod-style house built in 1880 and listed at $2,495,000. A four-stall barn with a loft could become a garage for about 10 cars, according to the listing, and there's an inground pool with a hot tub, a waterfall feature and a pool house. It has been on Zillow for 40 days.
