BRANFORD, CT — In February, the Branford Police Department hired a new officer, Audra Clyburn. Now, after six months of training, Clyburn graduated with the 374th Basic Training Session of the Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training Council.
Friday, Clyburn began her Branford police field training.
Clyburn, from Queens, NY, was most recently a Disciplinary Investigator with the city's Department of Corrections. While there, police noted, her "role as an investigator was crucial to the integrity, operations and efficiency of the department." She also worked as a probation officer, and as a TSA security officer at Newark Liberty International Airport in 2016, according to her LinkedIn page.
