Thousands of Branford Residents Power Restored After Outage: UPDATE
Power was out for thousands of residents Wednesday morning.

BRANFORD, CT – Thousands of people who were without power overnight in the Short Beach area have had their power restored as of 9 a.m. this morning.

Facebook posts from residents in the area indicated that a transformer blew – and that Eversource had told customers that power would be restored by later this morning.
At the height of the outage, more than 5,000 people in town – or about one-third – of the homes in Branford were without power.
