Town Seeks Resident Feedback On Draft Affordable Housing Plan
Come June, the town will have submitted its affordable housing plan to the state. Now is the chance for the community to provide input.

BRANFORD, CT — Town Planner Harry Smith is encouraging residents to attend, albeit virtually, a community meeting set for later this month to bring their voices to the affordable housing plan process.
Hosted by the Planning and Zoning Commission, the goal of the Zoom meeting is to get feedback on the draft 2022-2027 Affordable Housing Plan for Branford. Every Connecticut municipality must adopt an Affordable Housing Plan by June 1. The town's Affordable Housing Steering Committee has a draft plan it will share at the March 24 meeting.
The draft looks at current and future housing needs in Branford and identifies ways to address them, a news release from the town reads. It's expected that the housing plan will be used by local boards, agencies, and staff for future planning purposes.
