United Methodist Church's 'Whole in One' Golf Tournament Oct. 1
The 6th annual event at the Orange Hills Country Club, features a "foursome scramble" format and benefits the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter.
BRANFORD, CT — The “Church on the Rock” in Branford will hold its 6th Annual “Whole in One” Golf Tournament on Friday, October 1, 2021, at the Orange Hills Country Club, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter.
The tournament will be a Foursome Scramble, a golf format where four players form a team and all contribute to the score of the whole team, rather keeping score individually. Trophies will be awarded in several categories, including:
· 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Foursomes

· Longest Drive (Men & Women)
The entry fee of $125 covers 18 holes with a cart, a continental breakfast, buffet lunch after the round, snacks “on the go,” and a golf item featuring the Tournament logo, plus a raffle for door prizes.
Golfers can improve their score on Tournament Day by purchasing a “Measured Improvement” Ribbon. This 12” ribbon costs $5 and can be used on the green to move your ball into the hole without counting a stroke.
There are also a variety of sponsorship opportunities available for local businesses ranging from tee and trophy endorsements to meal and snack sponsorships.
