Welcome To Branford's Newest Police Officer, Alexia Emery

BRANFORD, CT — There's a new cop on the beat.

Branford's newest officer is Alexia Emery. A 2016 graduate of the New Haven Police Academy, she was sworn in as a New Haven officer in May of 2017. While working as a New Haven police officer, Emery worked in community policing and addressed "quality of life issues within the City of New Haven."

Emery was a also member of the New Haven Police Department Recruitment Team. Emery previously worked in healthcare at Yale New Haven Hospital. She's also pursuing a degree at Gateway Community College.

Branford Police welcomed Emery on Facebook and hundreds congratulated the newest member of the department's patrol division.

"Officer Emery is looking forward to serving the community of Branford for the next 25+ years," police wrote on Facebook.
