Wife Of Dr. Henry Lee Mourned

She was a school teacher in Sarawak for many years until moving to New York and continued her teaching career in New York City.

NEW HAVEN CT – Anyone who has been fortunate enough to take in a lecture and a slide show of internationally known forensic scientist Dr. Henry Lee always knew there would be one person by his side at almost each and every one of the hundreds, if not thousands of those lectures.

That was his wife Margaret Soong Meow Lee. Margaret Lee, 77, passed away this past Tuesday at Yale-New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Sarawak, Malaysia, April 16, 1939, daughter of the late Soong Kong Wing and Chu Womia.

She was a graduate of the University of Taiwan with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She was a school teacher in Sarawak for many years until moving to New York and continued her teaching career in New York City.

She received her Master's Degree from Long Island University, and after retiring from teaching she worked for the VAMC in West Haven as a researcher for 20 years, until her retirement.

Besides her husband, Margaret is survived by her children, Sherry Lee (Ted) Hersey of Glastonbury; her son Dr. Stanley (Romy) Lee of Wallingford; and her grandchildren, David, Rachel, Joseph, and Alex.
