Work Advances on New Chipotle Restaurant in Branford
There are a total of 20 Chipotle's in Connecticut and this would be the first in the area.

BRANFORD, CT – Although no definite opening date could be confirmed, work has clearly stepped up at the soon-to-be location of a new Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. restaurant at 2 Commericial Parkway.
Workers were at the site this week, the home of the old Subway, Moonstar Chinese Restaurant and Branford Cigar & More, working on converting it into the latest Chipotle restaurant in Connecticut.

One worker interviewed, when asked when the Chipotle restaurant would be opening, would only smile and say: “Soon.”
The new Chipotle will include a sit-down restaurant and outdoor patio. There also will be no drive-through window. The plans all for the restaurant to front facing Commercial Parkway rather than Route 1, which is where the old restaurants fronted.

There are 20 other Chipotle restaurants in Connecticut, including ones in nearby New Haven, Hamden, West Haven, and Milford.
Chipotle has over 2,000 restaurants in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany and France, specializing in tacos and burritos.
