Workshop for Unpublished Writers & Illustrators of Children's Books

Shoreline Arts Alliance in collaboration with the Guilford Free Library is offering a FREE workshop on Wednesday, October 28 from 6:30 – 8pm at the Library. The workshop is to help writers and illustrators understand the guidelines to prepare manuscripts and portfolios for proper submission to this year’s contest. The New Voices in Children’s Literature: Tassy Walden Awards is a Connecticut statewide, juried competition opened to writers and illustrators who are not published or under contract for publication. The five categories are: Picture Book (text only), Illustrated Picture Book (author and illustrator must be same person), Children’s Book Illustrator’s Portfolio, Middle Grade Novel and Young Adult/Teen Novel.
