1 Injured In 2-Alarm Fire In Mixed-Use Bridgeport Building: FD

The fire was reported early Monday on Stratford Avenue, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — One person was injured early Monday in a two-alarm fire in a mixed-used building in the 1300 block of Stratford Avenue in Bridgeport, according to authorities. No other injuries were reported.

The fire was reported at about 3:30 a.m. in a second floor apartment; the first floor contains commercial businesses.

"The fire was declared under control in 45 minutes," said Tiadora Josef, the city's Director of Public Information.

Members of the Bridgeport Fire Marshal's Office are investigating the cause of the fire.

The American Red Cross is providing assistance to four families, eight adults, following the fire.
