1 Injured In Bridgeport Shooting; Police Investigating
The shooting occurred Wednesday evening, according to authorities.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Bridgeport police are investigating a Wednesday evening shooting that left one person suffering from what authorities said was "a possible a lower extremity injury."
The incident occurred at about 7:30 p.m. in the area of Robin Street and Madison Avenue in Bridgeport.
A tourniquet was applied to the victim on-scene, before the person was taken to an area hospital. A request was made for a second ambulance, however, it is not known the extent of any additional injured parties.

Police detained a person with a firearm at the scene, but no additional information was given, except that the investigation is continuing.
