2-Alarm Bridgeport Fire Displaces 5 People, 4 Pets: Fire Department
The blaze was reported Saturday night on Pixlee Place.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A two-alarm fire damaged a home on Pixlee Place in Bridgeport Saturday night, leading to the temporary displacement of five people and four animals, according to authorities.
No injuries were reported in the 11:25 p.m. blaze, and the occupants were able to get out of the home on their own, said Scott Appleby, the city's Director of Emergency Management.
Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters "reported heavy fire on the second floor in the attic" of the two-story home, which required the second alarm.

Firefighters from Fairfield and Stratford assisted with firehouse coverage, while Bridgeport firefighters battled the fire.
Members of the American Red Cross are assisting the occupants who were displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Bridgeport Fire Marshal's Office.
