25 Displaced After Multi-Home Bridgeport Fire
More than two dozen people were displaced after a fire damaged multiple homes in Bridgeport early Thursday.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A fire on Central Avenue displaced 25 people early Thursday morning.
Six homes caught fire, according to News 12. No residents were hurt during the blaze. The fire department called a second alarm and mutual aid from other towns helped cover the city while local firefighters were busy extinguishing the multi-home fire.
The American Red Cross is helping six families, including 15 adults and 10 children. Red Cross caseworkers will help families with longer-term recovery plan and helped provide for their immediate personal care item needs.
