4 People Hospitalized After Bridgeport Shooting And Car Crash: Police
The shooting and crash occurred Sunday on Main Street near Golden Hill Street.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Bridgeport police are investigating a Sunday afternoon shooting and two-vehicle crash that left four people hospitalized, according to authorities.
The shooting and crash occurred at about 12:50 p.m. in the 1100 block of Main Street in downtown Bridgeport, near Golden Hill Street.
"Officers arriving on scene located a 2-car motor vehicle accident with one of the striking vehicle occupants suffering from a gunshot wound to the buttocks," wrote Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Gilleran in a statement. "That victim, identified as a 27-year-old Milford man, was taken to an area hospital via AMR Ambulance for treatment. He is listed in stable condition."

Two Naugatuck women, one 29-year-old and a 57-year-old, were injured in the two-vehicle crash, and both are also listed in stable condition at an area hospital, according to police.
"While Officers were securing the crime scene on Main Street, a 23-year-old Bridgeport man presented at an area hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen," Gilleran said. "That victim is being treated in the intensive care unit. Preliminary information indicates the 23-year-old was shot during the same incident on Main Street."

A third vehicle, which police believe was also involved in the crime, was identified and quickly located by authorities within the 100 block of Wilcox Street in Bridgeport.
Detectives are investigating the incident, and collected evidence on both Main Street and Wilcox Street.
