AT one time as I remember growing up nearby this structure now sits empty no more than a shell of forgotten times.AFTER quite a history in manufacturing this building sits idol just another part of BRIDGEPORTS'-industrial past. This structure has been at one time THE BRIDGEPORT MATTRESS COMPANY,THE BIAS NARROW FABRIC COMPANY,AMERICAN DISTRIBUTING CO.,AMERICAN SPECIALTY CO.,BRIDGEPORT CAN COMPANY,OSTERMOOR AND CO.and S.B.KRUPKA CO. The companies over the years produced apparel, consumer goods, appliances, fabricated metal products now a memory of what use to be.IT boasted quite a workforce 50-99 employees at times.IT was and is yet located at 304 GEORGE ST.BRIDGEPORT CT.IT was consisted of two buildings.QUITE a history relating to BRIDGEPORTS' manufacturing era BACK IN THE DAY.AT one time a busy factory now joins others in abandonment which benefits no one. The economy in BRIDGEPORT at one time was indeed better for many residents worked in factories throughout the city and factory jobs were plentiful and sadly now a ghost of the past nothing more.
