BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 2-year-old boy is listed in critical but stable condition in an area hospital Friday, after the child fell out of a second-story window in Bridgeport, according to police.
The incident occurred at about 10 p.m. on Monday at a home in the 200 block of Cottage Street, Shawnna White, the city's Public Information Officer, told Patch.
Details of the incident were not immediately available from authorities, but the investigation remains active, White said.
News 12 Connecticut reported that the window had a faulty screen, which had too much give, allowing the boy to fall through.
The child, who reportedly suffered a skull fracture from the fall, is said to be improving, according to News 12 Connecticut.
