• Bridgeport Man Killed In Scooter Crash, Police Say (patch.com) — A 61-year-old Bridgeport man died after his motorized scooter collided with a Mercedes-Benz on Huntington Turnpike Saturday night, prompting a full accident reconstruction investigation. Two men in the car, including a driver from Oakville, were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Police have reopened the road and are asking anyone with information to contact the Bridgeport Traffic Division.    

• Bridgeport Police Investigate Fatal Shooting On West Side (patch.com) — A man was fatally shot and a woman wounded early Saturday on Bridgeport’s West Side near Beechwood and Howard avenues, marking the city’s second homicide of 2026. Police say multiple shooters opened fire outside a bar, and detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the lead homicide investigator.    

• New Haven police identifies person killed in Saturday crash on Woodward Avenue (wtnh.com) — Bridgeport residents were seriously hurt in a Saturday afternoon crash on Woodward Avenue in New Haven that also claimed the life of a West Haven woman. Police say an 18-year-old Bridgeport man and a 20-year-old Bridgeport woman were hospitalized, and investigators are asking anyone with information to contact New Haven’s anonymous tip line.
