BRIDGEPORT, CT — A driver was critically injured early Sunday in a rollover crash in Bridgeport, which required firefighters to extricate the driver from the flipped over vehicle, according to police.
The two-vehicle crash occurred at about 1:40 a.m. in the 800 block of Connecticut Avenue. No other injuries were reported.
"Firefighters completed extrication of the driver inside the flipped vehicle within 8 minutes," said Shawnna White, the city's Public Information Officer, in a statement. "The driver was transported to Bridgeport Hospital and listed in critical, but stable condition."
Bridgeport police are investigating the cause of the crash, according to White.
