BRIDGEPORT, CT — An unnamed Bridgeport resident is $100,000 richer this week after claiming a winning CASH5 lottery ticket that was purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.
The lucky winner claimed the ticket on Wednesday; it had been purchased at Uptown News & Variety on Main Street in Bridgeport.
The Connecticut Lottery no longer publishes winners’ names without their written consent, in accordance with Sec. 3(d) of Public Act 25-112, according to officials.
CASH5 is a pari-mutuel game, in which tickets cost $1 per wager. The top prize is $100,000.
Overall odds of winning vary; the odds for winning the top prize are 1 in 324,632.
