BRIDGEPORT, CT — An unnamed Bridgeport resident is $25,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket that was purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.
On July 2, the person claimed a winning America 250 Connecticut ticket that was bought at City Gas on Huntington Turnpike.
The Connecticut Lottery no longer publishes winners’ names without their written consent, in accordance with Sec. 3(d) of Public Act 25-112, according to officials.
The game, which costs $5 per ticket, began in June, and as of Tuesday, three grand prizes of $25,000 remained unclaimed.
More than 1 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.06.
