Red Lobster Closes In Bridgeport: Report

Two chain restaurants are slated to take over the Main Street space.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — The Red Lobster restaurant in Bridgeport has closed, the Connecticut Scoop reported.

In December, news broke that the restaurant was slated for closure, and that a Chipotle Mexican Grill and Dave's Hot Chicken would take over the space in the Brookside Center, at 4485 Main St. Construction is expected to begin soon.

The Red Lobster reportedly closed over the weekend, leaving just three Red Lobster's in Connecticut, in North Haven, Wethersfield and Danbury.
