An 81-year-old pedestrian was killed in the 2025 crash, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 49-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested last week in connection with a 2025 hit-and-run crash that killed an 81-year-old pedestrian, according to Bridgeport police.

Lorenzo Abrajan-Garcia, 49, of Bridgeport, was arrested Friday and was charged with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle and evading responsibility resulting in death.

The charges stem from a collision on July 13, 2025, at Park and Maplewood avenues that killed Bridgeport resident Angela Pagan.

Abrajan-Garcia is accused of fleeing the scene after the crash.

Bridgeport firefighters, American Medical Response personnel and police officers responded; Pagan was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center where she was pronounced dead about an hour after the incident.

The preliminary investigation by the Bridgeport Police Serious Crash Investigation Team determined that a vehicle traveling north on Park Avenue struck Pagan at the intersection with Maplewood Avenue and continued north without stopping, police said.

Abrajan-Garcia was released after posting bond on bail of $300,000, and he is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Sept. 1.
