BRIDGEPORT, CT — The East Side Farmers Market has moved to Washington Park at 511 E. Washington Ave. for this year's season, according to the Bridgeport Health Department.
The market is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays through Oct. 14. It offers fresh produce as well as community resources, health programs and educational opportunities.
The Bridgeport Health Department has hosted the East Side Farmers Market for more than 18 years, with a focus on providing residents, particularly those on the East Side, with access to fresh and affordable fruits, vegetables and other food options.
Janay Ayala, a health educator with the Bridgeport Health Department, helps organize the market and connect residents with food, educational programs and other resources.

The market accepts cash, credit and debit cards. Residents can ask market representatives about $5 Bridgeport Bucks, SNAP matching and Farmers Market Nutrition Program matching.
Senior vouchers are also available for registration on market days. Residents seeking to register are asked to bring identification and proof of income.
