$25,000 Winning Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Bridgeport

A local resident is also the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — An unnamed Bridgeport resident is $25,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.

On Wednesday, the person claimed a winning "20X the cash" ticket that was bought at Omega Deli Markete on Park Avenue.

The Connecticut Lottery no longer publishes winners' names without their written consent, in accordance with Sec. 3(d) of Public Act 25-112, according to officials.

The game costs $2 per ticket, and began in January. It has a top prize of $25,000, and as of Friday, one top prize remained unclaimed.

More than 1.9 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 4.06.
