BRIDGEPORT, CT — A person suffered a gunshot wound to the leg Wednesday night in a shooting in the 160 block of Birdseye Street in Bridgeport, according to police.
The victim was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center for treatment.
According to police, the shooting occurred at about 11:40 p.m., and the department was alerted to it via a ShotSpotter activation. ShotSpotter is a gunshot detection system.
The shooting remains under investigation, and no arrests have been made.
