Police found a 76-year-old Bridgeport woman lying face down in the eastbound lane at the intersection. Emergency personnel provided aid before she was taken by American Medical Response to St. Vincent's Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition.
Amuzu was released after posting bond on bail of $25,000; he is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Sept. 8.
