Bridgeport Pair Arrested In 2025 Hit-And-Run That Killed Pedestrian: Police

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Two Bridgeport residents have been arrested in connection with a July 2025 hit-and-run that killed 49-year-old pedestrian Zandrea Harris, according to police.

Jahmeir Peter Tillery, 20, and Ti Aujah Amir Norfleet, 21, were arrested on warrants last week, following an extensive investigation.

According to police, Tillery was driving the sedan at the time of the crash and Norfleet was a passenger.

Tillery was charged with evading responsibility with death, negligent homicide with a motor vehicle and conspiracy to commit/tampering with physical evidence.

Norfleet was charged with conspiracy to commit/tampering with physical evidence and tampering with physical evidence.

The case began at about 3:19 a.m. July 21, 2025, when Bridgeport police were alerted about an unresponsive woman on the ground at Noble and Berkshire avenues.

American Medical Response personnel, Bridgeport Fire Engine 10 and police officers responded and provided medical aid before the woman, Zandrea Harris, was taken to Bridgeport Hospital.

Officers found a large amount of debris near Noble Avenue and Putnam Street that appeared to be from a motor vehicle collision, authorities said. The Bridgeport Crash Reconstruction Team responded to investigate.

A preliminary investigation determined that a white four-door sedan traveling south on Noble Avenue struck Harris, who was pushing a shopping cart near Noble Avenue and Putnam Street, according to police.

Police said the sedan continued to Noble Avenue and Berkshire Avenue with Harris before leaving the scene in an unknown direction. Harris was found unresponsive in the northbound lane.

Harris was initially listed in critical condition, but died from her injuries five days later.

Tillery was released after posting bond on bail of $250,000; he is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Oct. 9.

Norfleet's bail is $150,000; court information for her was not immediately available.
