BRIDGEPORT, CT — Flooding from Sunday's rainstorm resulted in the closure of Bridgeport's Thomas Hooker School on Monday, district officials announced.
The school, located at 138 Roger Williams Road in Bridgeport, is expected to reopen on Tuesday.
"We will keep families updated if anything changes," officials wrote on the district's website. "Thank you for your patience and understanding."
Bridgeport and other Connecticut communities were pounded with about 7 inches of rain on Sunday, resulting in widespread flooding and the stranding of dozens of vehicles.
