BRIDGEPORT, CT — A person suffered a wound to the neck area in a shooting Monday morning in Bridgeport, according to police.
The shooting was reported at about 11:30 a.m. in the 190 block of Hallett Street.
"Upon arrival, officers locate one victim with a [gunshot wound] to the neck area," Shawnna White, Bridgeport's public information officer, said in a statement. "The victim was transported to the hospital via [American Medical Response]."
Additional details were not available.
No arrests have been made, and the incident remains under investigation.
