Armed Home Invasion In Bridgeport Under Investigation: Police
The incident occurred Monday morning on Brooks Street, according to authorities.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — An armed home invasion was reported Monday morning on Brooks Street in Bridgeport, and police are investigating, authorities said.
The incident was reported as a burglary in progress in the 600 block just after 9 a.m., and a woman and her two children were said to be home at the time.
"The male parties displayed a firearm and fled the residence with the female’s cellphone," said Scott Appleby, Bridgeport's director of Emergency Management, said in a statement.

An ambulance was dispatched to the home for evaluation of any injuries.
"[The Bridgeport Police Department] is actively investigating this incident at this time," Appleby said. "Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Jeff Holtz at 203-581-5293 or the BPT PD at 203-576-TIPS."
