Benefit Party in Bridgeport to Support After School at The Klein (ASK)
Help raise funds for ASK, the only tuition-free after school arts program in Bridgeport for grades 7-12.Make a difference in a child's life.

Come eat, mingle and enjoy an entertaining night out on the town on Saturday, May 13. At the same time, you will be helping us raise funds for After School at The Klein (ASK).
The ASK Benefit Party will be hosted at the Bijou Theatre, 275 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. ASK is the cornerstone of The Klein’s education and outreach effort providing tuition-free instruction in music, dance, drama and stage tech crafts to Bridgeport students in grades 7-12.
“Our outstanding staff of professional performing artists teach over 120 students attending classes four days per week. In addition to performing two full concerts at The Klein each year, our students also perform in all the Bridgeport parades and at other events throughout the community,” said Laurence Caso, Executive Director of The Klein.

The Klein is sustained by the generosity of our community and is the only tuition-free after school arts program taught on a professional stage in Bridgeport. Co chairs of the ASK Benefit Party are Trish Swain of Bridgeport and M.J. DeRisio of Old Lyme, who have planned a variety of fun performances and activities.

The musical talent features Director of Education and Professional Singer Maureen Hamill and Keyboard Player/Singing Coach David Harris, who will host “Name That Tune.”” In addition, a photo booth, Giant Jenga and other participation games will be available. The evening will culminate with a troupe of ASK dancers and singers staging a 20-minute performance.
Dress is casual but prizes will be awarded for the most interesting fashion accessory. Find something fun from the back of your closet.
Tickets to the event cost $75 and can be purchased at The Klein box office at 910 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport from 10 am to 4 pm weekdays as well as online (www.theklein.org) and by phone (800) 424-0160 extension 2.
