Bridgeport Apartment Fire Displaces 10 People: FD
The blaze was reported Sunday afternoon, according to fire officials.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — An apartment building fire in the 400 block of Washington Avenue in Bridgeport on Sunday resulted in the temporary displacement of 10 people, according to fire officials.
No injuries were reported in the 5:30 p.m. blaze.
"Upon arrival, [fire] units located heavy smoke conditions," wrote Shawnna White, Bridgeport's Public Information Officer, in a statement. "The fire was extinguished in one of the [apartment] units by the sprinkler system."

Two of the apartments were damaged in the fire, and Ken Sneider, Mike Rifflard, Bill Teel, Max Morenberg, Mike Griffin, Zain Farooq and Kathy Wong of the American Red Cross are assisting the displaced residents.
Members of the Bridgeport Fire Marshal's Office are investigating the cause of the fire.
