Bridgeport Bookkeeper Arrested In Westport

She embezzled a large sum of money, police said.

WESTPORT, CT — A bookkeeper at a Westport business was arrested after it was found that she embezzled more than $29,000, according to police.

Victims came to police Oct. 5 to report the theft. The told police that Kimberly Goodman, 33, of Bridgeport made fraudulent transactions in order to credit her personal accounts multiple times a month.

Goodman turned herself in on Oct. 17 and was charged with first-degree larceny by embezzlement and was released in a $10,000 bond.
