Bridgeport Cop Arrested For 6th Time
He is on leave from the department after being accused of sexual assault.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Bridgeport Police Officer Steven Figueroa racked up his sixth arrested after he allegedly violated the conditions of his release, according to police.
He was freed after posting a $1,500 bond, according to the Connecticut Post. Figueroa was placed on leave without pay form the department after being charged by Shelton Police with first-degree sexual assault.
He allegedly raped his ex-girlfriend, police said. He was also previously charged with assaulting her. Figueroa also has arrests in Bridgeport Stratford and Milford on domestic violence charges.
