Bridgeport Cop Avoids Injury After Being Shot At 3 Times: Report
The shooting occurred Wednesday; a suspect from Norwalk was taken into custody.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 40-year-old Norwalk man was arrested in Bridgeport Wednesday after police said he fired three shots at a police officer in a squad car, reports the Connecticut Post.
No injuries were reported in the shooting, which occurred Kossuth and Nichols streets.
Police said David Burden walked up to the squad car that Officer William Franco was in and fired the shots. Franco spun the vehicle around and was able to convince Burden to drop the weapon.

Burden, who authorities said has an extensive criminal record, was charged with illegal use of a firearm, attempted first-degree assault and criminal possession of a firearm, among a host of other violations. He was held in lieu of bail of $1 million, and is due in court at a later date.
