Bridgeport Fire Displaces 10 People

A fire at a Bridgeport residence displaced 10 people Thursday.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Ten people were displaced following a fire in the 200 block Pearl St. just before 1 p.m. Thursday, according to The Connecticut Post. The blaze was quickly extinguished by firefighters.

When firefighters arrived, there was heavy fire on the front porch that extended into the home's two floors. The fire started in the trash bins on the building's exterior and then spread to the interior.

One person was treated for smoke inhalation, The Connecticut Post reported.
