Bridgeport Fire Displaces 15 People
The fire heavily damaged a multifamily residence and displaced five families.
BRIDGEPORT, CT —Five families were displaced from their homes Thursday after a house fire on Poplar Street.
The fire department received a call about a smoke coming from a residence around 3:30 p.m.
Firefighters found a fire in the third floor attic area of a three-story multifamily building. There was heavy smoke and water damage to all floors, but no injuries to residents.

A total of 12 adults and three children were displaced. The Red Cross is assisting families.
