Bridgeport K9 Officer, Handler Graduate From State Police Academy
To graduate, the police dog had to successfully complete a "rigorous 14-week training program."

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A new K9 officer for the Bridgeport Police Department has graduated from the Connecticut State Police Academy.
"Ace" was one of 10 K9 officers to graduate this week in the 235th Patrol K9 Class, after successfully completing "an intensive and rigorous 14-week training program in their pursuit of excellence," according to authorities.
Bridgeport Police Officer Corey Baldwin will be Ace's handler.

"The ten graduating canine teams have concluded an extensive curriculum that encompasses a wide range of skills including locating missing family members, locating critical evidence during investigations, crucial support to law enforcement officers, and community engagement," officials said in a statement. "The State Police K9 Training Unit extends its heartfelt appreciation to the trainers, handlers, and all those involved in the support and training of these exceptional canine teams."
