Bridgeport Man Acquitted Of Burning Dogs At His Home: Report
The defendant still faces two other charges of animal cruelty in connection with the case.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 41-year-old Bridgeport man, who was accused of burning three dogs in a shed in his backyard in December 2020, has been acquitted of three counts of animal cruelty in the case, reported the Connecticut Post.
David Valle still faces two other counts of animal cruelty, after two malnourished dogs were found in his possession, in connection with the 2020 incident.
Police and firefighters were called to Valle's home on a report by a neighbor of a fire at the property. When authorities arrived, they found the two surviving dogs, and the charred bodies of the burned dogs, in a shed that Valle referred to as a backyard smoker.

Of the three burned dogs, Superior Court Judge Elizabeth Reid reportedly said that not enough evidence was presented by prosecutors proving that the dogs were Valle's, or that he set the fire.
