BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Bridgeport man was arrested after officers found cocaine and heroin in a car he was driving during a traffic stop early Thursday morning in Trumbull, according to Trumbull police.
In a news release, Police Lt. Brian Weir said an officer stopped a vehicle on Route 8 northbound around 2:30 a.m. for an equipment violation. The vehicle's registration was also suspended due to insufficient insurance.
When the officer approached the car, he noticed multiple $20 bills laying on the front passenger seat and other items consistent with drug packaging scattered throughout the passenger compartment of the vehicle, Weir said.
