Bridgeport Man Charged With Selling Heroin In Stratford: Police
The man was arrested following a lengthy investigation for selling heroin and other drugs in Stratford, according to police.
STRATFORD, CT — A Bridgeport man is accused of selling heroin and other drugs in Stratford, according to police. Anthony Velez, 25, of Bridgeport, was arrested Nov. 1 following an investigation that spanned several months, according to Capt. Frank Eannotti.
Velez was taken into custody after a warrant was served at his home address and two other “stash house” locations, according to Eannotti.
Velez was found to be in possession of heroin, crack cocaine, illegal prescription pills and marijuana, according to Eannotti. About $15,000 in cash was also seized.

Velez was arrested on charges of possession with intent to sell (heroin), possession with intent to sell (crack cocaine), possession of drug paraphernalia in drug factory situation, possession with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, illegal possession of narcotics (oxycodone hydrochloride), illegal possession of a controlled substance (alprazolam), illegal obtaining or supplying of drugs, failure to keep narcotic drug in original container and risk of injury to a minor.
Velez was held on bonds totaling $750,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Court on Nov. 9.
